    Katherine, your infographic explains the ideas really clearly. I like how it shows how metacognition and self-regulation connect to creativity in the classroom. How do you help students practice monitoring their own thinking while they work?

Week 2

 Authentic Intellectual Work is focused on students accessing a deep connection to the learning happening in the classroom. This is centered around construction of knowledge, disciplined inquiry, and application into the real world. This is very different from a typical classroom. In my experience in a math classroom specifically, the teacher says what we are learning, has us take notes on the topic, we do an example together and then we have time to do some on our own. The problems we are working on are just skill and drill types and there is little conversation about what the variables or numbers mean in these situations, let alone how this applies to our lives. Week 4

Magic School Lesson Plan   Part 1: The quality of the lesson is good. I am pleasantly surprised at the lesson in general. I think that the lesson that AI generated first is a great outline for a lesson addressing these two standards. I could have asked it to be more specific with certain parts but I enjoyed how vague it was. This would allow me to dive deeper with AI or take it and put my own spin on it.  The improvement I would suggest would be asking it to regenerate the lesson with time stamps, more of a problem based approach, and ask it for some worksheets to go along with the activities. I think the tool is useful for the rigor I am looking for in my classroom. Specifically with the assessments that it focuses on. This is a great addition to make sure that students are getting some sort of check in before moving on to the next lesson.
